Men Like Au Natural Look
A new study by Southern Utah University reveals that men find the ‘au natural look’ just as desirable as when women put on lipstick and mascara. The study, conducted at speed-dating events, found that women who wore little or no make-up held just as much allure to potential partners as those wearing cosmetics. Previous research suggests that make-up, especially red lipstick, makes women more attractive.This study contradicts those findings.
Holiday Spending Survey
A new survey by Gallup reveals that Americans plan to spend an average of $975 on Christmas gifts this year. That’s $100 more than last year. Other findings:
- 49% of shoppers will do most of their gift-buying this month
- Women's spending over the holiday season went up $137, while men increased their spending by $43

A new survey by IHG Hotels reveals that 33% of holiday travelers don't consider traveling home for the holidays a true vacation. Other findings:
- 71% of travelers need a separate vacation after traveling home for the holidays
- What travelers want from their post holiday vacation … comfortable bed (60%), a jacuzzi (46%), and a spa day (42%).
Holiday Pet Survey
A new survey posted by The Daily Mirror reveals that 50% of pet owners have already found the perfect Christmas present for their cat or dog. Other findings:
- 80% of pet owners consider their furry friend to be a part of their family
- The average person will spend $31 on a holiday gift for their dog and $25 on a holiday gift for their cat
- 72% of people believe that Christmas celebrations are more special when they have a pet to share them with
- 35% of people find it easier to buy gifts for their dog compared to their cat
Dear Fonseca,
I am writing to you because I always hear your show helping out others. On Saturday, my girlfriend and I went to the big Christmas tree to see it all lit up. I surprised her by getting down on one knee and proposing. She rejected the proposal in front of everyone. She told me she's not ready to get married, but didn't give any reasons as to why she's not ready. We didn't speak yesterday, but did send several text messages. Things are totally awkward and broken. Is there any reason to continue the relationship? The women I've talked to say it's not over. My male friends say it is. What do you think? How do you come back from a massive rejection like that?
