Dear Fonseca,

My boss pulled me into his office the other day and asked if I wouldn’t mind putting off getting pregnant. At first, I thought he was joking. He said he needs my full attention for the next year because the company is going to be growing and undergoing some changes. He highlighted how he paid for me to get my Master's degree and for extra training. This led to me getting a promotion and more money. My husband says that we shouldn't wait. I kind of feel guilty having the baby because the company has invested so much in me. I wouldn't make the salary I do and enjoy the comfortable lifestyle I have without my boss believing in me. Another part of me is furious. How dare my boss ask me to place the company before my dream of having a baby. What would you do if you were me? Baby or business? Is this an unreasonable request by my boss?
