A new survey by Shopify reveals that 64% of holiday shoppers plan to buy gifts for themselves on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Other findings:
- 13% of people will only buy gifts for themselves on Black Friday and Cyber Monday
- 41% of holiday shoppers will likely buy gifts on Black Friday
- 61% of holiday shoppers will likely buy gifts on Cyber Monday

A new survey by Career Wallet reveals that 91% of employees want their boss to use their Christmas party budget on staff bonuses instead of the bash. Other findings:
- 10% of employees say their Christmas party is one of the things they dislike most about their job
- 23% of employees say their colleagues are one of the things they dislike most about their job

I am several weeks away from getting married and there are red flags everywhere. My fiance and I are in pre-marital counseling with a therapist. We had a huge blowout during our last session which was titled Honesty and Communication. My fiance brought up my journal. Our counselor has told us that one of the keys to a successful marriage is being honest and having open lines of communication. My fiance says he should be allowed to read my journal. I don't think he should be. I write in my journal because it relaxes me, allows me to express my feelings and put down thoughts that I might otherwise never tell anyone. He says I'm hiding something. The truth is, I am. There are things in my journal I don't want him to know. He says as a husband he is entitled to see those things. I disagree. Is a journal off limits? I'm thinking this might be a deal breaker. Would you go through with the wedding if you were me? I feel like he is trying to control me.
