Dear Fonseca

My husband and I are torn over whether or not to allow our teenage son to use ChatGPT for school. Everybody is talking about this new Artificial Intelligence and how it makes everything easier. Our son recently used it to write an essay. We had no idea. He scored an A. My husband has no problem with allowing Artificial Intelligence to do the work for our son. He says our son is just being resourceful. It's the same as using Google. Teachers and schools disagree and may ban ChatGPT because it does the work for students and sometimes plagiarizes. Did my son cheat by using ChatGPT or was he just being resourceful? Should we allow him to continue to use the AI?
