Mission Kids Spring Fiesta (Free) ~ San Francisco, May 2Join the families of Mission Kids Preschool for a Spring Fiesta Block Party on Treat Avenue between 22nd and 23rd streets in the Mission on Saturday May 2nd from 10am-1pm. Right across from Niños Unidos Park. There will be games, live music, puppet shows, martial arts classes from ABADÁ Capoeira, live animals from Tree Frog Treks, a bake sale, delicious food and more activities for the whole family! Hillside Festival (Free) ~ El CerritoEl Cerrito’s 12th Annual Hillside Festival on May 2–3 is back with a mix of old favorites and brand new hikes and events. More than a dozen events will entertain and educate both young and old about the plants, animals, geology and history of El Cerrito’s 100-acre natural wonderland, the Hillside Natural Area. Events especially for young people include the ever-popular Nature Scavenger Hunt with prizes and Insect Exploration. We’ll end the festival with snacks and bluegrass music by El Cerrito-based Fresh Picked band. All events are free!
