Saturday, March 21

  • Commercial Break Marketplace: Chinatown Arts & Crafts DaySan Francisco Chinatown on Commercial Street between Kearny and Montgomery. This is the most true street-market / block-party styleevent I found for the weekend, with local artists, handmade goods, family activities, music, and food vendors.

  • SF Rooftop Holi Festival of ColorsSVN West, San Francisco, 12:00–5:00 p.m. Not a street fair exactly, but one of the bigger festive public events happening Saturday.

  • The Wardrobe Project FleaRockridge BART, Oakland, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. More flea/market than street fair, but a good East Bay browse-and-shop option.

  • Alameda Rock & Roll Flea MarketFaction Brewing, Alameda, around 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with 100+ vendors, food, beer, and live music. Again, more market than street fair, but one of the stronger outdoor event options this weekend.

  • Downtown Berkeley Farmers’ Market Springtime ConcertBerkeley, Saturday. This reads more like a market with live music than a full fair, but it is a real outdoor community event.

Saturday–Sunday, March 21–22

  • Rewilding Market + Pickle Toss + Cyclecide Ferris WheelSan Francisco, free to enter. This looks like a quirky outdoor market/festival-style event over both weekend days.

Bay Area festival note

  • There are also several Nowruz / Persian New Year celebrations across the Bay Area around this time, including events in San Jose, San Mateo, Sunnyvale, Berkeley, Marin, San Francisco, and Oakland, though many are more cultural celebrations than classic street fairs.

So the best “street fair” style picks from what’s actually up this weekend are:

  1. Chinatown Arts & Crafts Day

  2. Alameda Rock & Roll Flea Market

  3. Rewilding Market

  4. Rockridge flea / Berkeley market events for a lower-key option.

I can also make you a cleaner “best free Bay Area outdoor events this weekend”
