Dear Fonseca

My husband and I just found out that I am pregnant. We are so excited to have our first baby. He wants me to be a stay-at-home mom. I told him I would do it as long as he pays me a salary. He thought I was kidding. I'm not. I'm giving up my career and should be compensated fairly for being a mother. his is a 24-hour job not a 9-to-5 job. He says moms shouldn't get paid. If he wants me to quit, I need a salary from him. Am I wrong for asking? Should I be getting paid?
