Carquinez Model Railroad Society Open House ~ CrockettThe Carquinez Model Railroad Society welcomes our friends in the community to our next open house! The crew has been working hard on the Branchline and the scenic detail is outstanding! New industries and back drops are in the works as well. August is the month when railroad traffic picks up on layout and in the real world, too! Look for lots of fast passenger trains and heavy freights cruising more than 16 scale miles of mainline in each direction. $5 admission, ages 16 and under free.

Trolls: Save the Humans ~ WoodsideFeatures six Trolls that have come to teach humans how to rediscover nature and inspire humans to be good stewards of the earth. Thomas Dambo’s signature folklore-inspired Troll sculptures are built from reclaimed materials and will delight visitors of all ages. The outdoor exhibition fuses fairytales, whimsy, and monumental scale to inspire visitors to explore themes such as recycling, the importance of plants and gardens, art, and more.
