Touch a Truck ~ Briones, April 18Touch a Truck is a hands-on family event that gives children the chance to explore a fascinating array of vehicles — all in one place. From emergency and public service vehicles to construction equipment, utility trucks, and more, kids can climb aboard, honk horns, push buttons, and let their curiosity run wild. Beyond the trucks, families can enjoy a full day of activities including: bounce houses & a train ride, kids’ crafts, lawn and carnival games & face painting, friendly farm animals, and local food trucks.
Brains On! Live (Free) ~ San Francisco, April 25Brains On! LIVE is heading to Marines’ Memorial Theatre in SF on Saturday, April 25th! The wildly popular podcast for kids is hitting the road with a hilarious science-themed live show that takes the audience on an adventure through our magical brains. Hosts will bring magic tricks, dance moves, out-of-body experiences, mystery sounds, and even a game show! The early show has been added by popular demand – grab tickets while you can here.
Hillside Festival (Free) ~ El Cerrito, May 2&3El Cerrito’s 12th Annual Hillside Festival on May 2–3 is back with a mix of old favorites and brand new hikes and events. More than a dozen events will entertain and educate both young and old about the plants, animals, geology and history of El Cerrito’s 100-acre natural wonderland, the Hillside Natural Area. Events especially for young people include the ever-popular Nature Scavenger Hunt with prizes and Insect Exploration. We’ll end the festival with snacks and bluegrass music by El Cerrito-based Fresh Picked band. All events are free!
