Saturday, April 8 Bug Day at Randall Museum – San Francisco Hurray! The bugs are back! Check out the incredible extravaganza of insects at the Randall Museum’s popular Bug Day event celebrating everything insect with hands-on science and art activities, games, live music, movies and more. Learn how important these little creatures are to the earth and to our survival here. Kids and their families can make their own fabulous bug-related crafts to take home, see and touch live exotic insects, take a scientific look at insects through microscopes, and compete in the Insect Olympics.

Urban Ed Academy SMART+ Saturday Program – San Francisco The Urban Ed Academy SMART+ Saturday Program is FREE and open to all middle school students. Programming will be held from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Wille L. Brown Jr. Middle School located in the Bay View area in San Francisco, CA. Children will participate in fun lessons and projects with the goal of helping them become their own entrepreneur. Children will also explore hands on/interactive STEAM activities and outdoor/PE time.

Easter Bunny Arrives by Helicopter – San Carlos Get an Easter egg straight from the bunny and enjoy face painting, a bounce house and slide, and a model train display.

Eggster Egg Hunt and Learning Festival – Berkeley, April 15 The largest annual egg hunt and learning festival in the Bay Area. A fun, free educational event with activity booths, performances, and egg hunts to inspire young children.

Giraffes Can’t Dance by Bay Area Children’s Theatre – Berkeley, April 15 – June 4 All the animals in the jungle know their own special dance, but Gerald the Giraffe can’t seem to move without a clumsy step. But with the help of a wise cricket, he finds his own song, and dances to the beat of his own drum! In this stage adaptation of the beloved children’s book, with puppets, African rhythm, and lots of dancing, Gerald learns that his differences are what make him special.

Family Day at Marin MOCA – Novato, May 7 This free program provides art-making opportunities to parents with their children. A fun and educational alternative to “screen time,” the program is taught by professional art instructors in a variety of media – from painting to mixed media to clay.
