4th of July Parade (Free) ~ Alameda

Alameda’s 4th of July Parade is the longest in the nation with a route that spans 3.3 miles, attracting more than 150 entries and 2,500 participants, including equestrians, dance troops, floats, antique cars, community groups, and  marching bands!

Celebrate Independence Day with a kids fun, pancake breakfast, parade, festival and fireworks!

Ol’ Fashioned 4th of July Parade (Free) ~ Half Moon Bay

Half Moon Bay’s beloved 4th of July Parade along with a Pancake Breakfast & Festival takes over Main Street, transforming the charming downtown into a festive Red, White and Blue celebration.

4th of July Parade and Festival (Free) ~ Redwood City

Enjoy a full day of Independence Day fun with a pancake breakfast, parade, car show, and patriotic drone show.

4th of July Celebration (Free) ~ Cupertino

Enjoy a full day of red, white, and blue fun! From morning activities to evening fireworks, Cupertino’s Fourth of July Celebration is packed with family-friendly festivities. Start your day with pancakes, march in the children’s parade, and enjoy bubbles, an obstacle course, and lawn games.

Enjoy a family-friendly party with live music and kids activities before an amazing fireworks extravaganza.

Rose, White and Blue Parade (Free) ~ San Jose

Children are invited to decorate their bikes and wagons in red, white and blue streamers before joining a parade line-up of classic cars, bands, dance groups, and community troupes. After the parade enjoy a festival with a creative kids zone, entertainment, and food trucks.

Saturday, July 5

Dragons Love Tacos ~ Palo AltoYou know what Dragons really love? Tacos of course! A boy and his dog are watching a TV show about dragons when they unexpectedly get caught up in the ‘Dos and Don’ts’ of what to serve to dragons to eat. Dragons love tacos, but if they accidentally eat spicy salsa…watch out!

Alameda County Fair ~ Pleasanton

Carnival, concerts, cooking demonstrations, and movies on the lawn. Drone show nightly.

Trolls: Save the Humans ~ WoodsideFeatures six activist Trolls that have come to teach humans how to rediscover nature and inspire humans to be good stewards of the earth. Thomas Dambo’s signature folklore-inspired Troll sculptures are built from reclaimed materials and will delight visitors of all ages. The outdoor exhibition fuses fairytales, whimsy, and monumental scale to inspire visitors to explore themes such as recycling, the importance of plants and gardens, art, and more.

  • "This is Spinal Tap" (Re-release): A classic mockumentary, returning to theaters for a special engagement. 

  • "Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse" (Re-release): A documentary about the making of "Apocalypse Now," also returning for a limited run. 

  • "The Twin": A new horror film from VRC.
