Friday, January 6 First Friday Nights at Curiodyssey – San Mateo Swing into the weekend with live music, a food truck, animals and fun! On the first Friday of every month, from 5 pm until 8 pm, parents and kids celebrate together at CuriOdyssey. Dance to some of your favorite pop and rock hits, while enjoying animal presentations and science activities.

Make and decorate a crown, enjoy lively and traditional Mariachi youth performers and folklórico dance, delight in gifts (chocolate coins) handed out by the kings, and learn how to make real tortillas.

First Friday at Chabot Space and Science Center – Oakland, January 6 Spend an exciting evening with music, activities and fun exploring light from Earth and Space. Listen to scientist explain how they use telescopes and other instruments to see these invisible rays and what we can learn from what we see. Make nebula art and engage with hands-on activities that demonstrate UV rays and see how some animals view the world through ultraviolet or infrared light.

Blue Angels Snowboard and Ski Lessons for Kids – Sierra at Tahoe, January 21-February 25 Blue Angel Snow gives kids (8-16) the opportunity to ski or snowboard the Sierra with friends and other snow sport enthusiasts in a fun, yet structured environment.
