A representative from Tech Disinfect says, ''Desks and office items can be up to four times dirtier than a toilet seat because we’re spending so much more time with them. People tend to eat and drink at their desks, never thinking about cleaning up afterwards. Employees also don’t tend to give serious consideration to disinfecting regularly. Viruses, germs and bacteria can be transmitted around the home very easily, but our workplaces are potentially a much bigger hazard. Everything from coffee cups to keyboards can harbour infection.''
Dear Fonseca
My husband and I own a very well-known local restaurant. We've been in business for years and have tons of regulars. We have kept our prices the same despite the pandemic and inflation. We have never considered adding a surcharge to our bills until now. It's not for our food, but rather our bathroom. People forget their common sense and trash our restrooms. I am tired of having to clean up after people and now have a nightly cleaning service. I wouldn't have to pay for the cleaning service if people weren't pigs. I'm going to pass the cost on to them. My husband says I'm making a mistake. Your thoughts? Is it fair if restaurants add a bathroom cleaning surcharge?
