MOTHERS DAY

Mother's Day Music News

Taylor Swift tells NME magazine that her mother keeps her grounded. “I’m in the news every single day for multiple different reasons, and it can feel, at times, if you let your anxiety get the better of you, like everybody’s waiting for you to really mess up – and then you’ll be done. A lot of the time I need to call my mom and talk for a really long time, just to remind myself of all the things that are great and all the things that matter. If you do something that defines your character to be not what the public thought you were, that’s the biggest risk.”

Kelly Clarkson tells People that motherhood has changed her. “My whole life took a big 180. I never thought I was going to be a mom, so it’s very much changed my world in the most awesome way. I love what I do, but I feel like I relied on my career a lot for my self-worth. And now I’m more than that. I have a certain level of peace I didn’t know was going to come with it. My best friend always says, ‘You just want to create the family you never had.’ I might be doing that. In defense of my family, it happens. People fall out of love, and people go separate ways. People are human. I’ve accomplished a lot, but I guess the biggest success I want is that whenever I die people will say, ‘She was so successful as a mother, and as a wife.’ That’s kind of my big goal.”

Andy Grammer tells ABC that he did ''Dancing with the Stars'' for his late mother."I came on this show because she (his mum) loved Dancing With the Stars and dance in general, so it's kind of full circle to have me leave on the night where I got to do a dance for her... It was a really emotional week. Grieving is such an interesting thing, and so I found that through dancing on this show, I was able to grieve for her, which sounds crazy, but that's real."

LA City Attorney Mike Feuer is recommending a misdemeanor charge

OK! magazine says Dave Chappelle thanked his friends and fellow comedians for injuring Isaiah Lee. Lee jumped on stage during one of Dave's shows and tried to tackle him. Dave said, "I felt good my friends broke his arm. I felt good, how bad does man have to be that Jon Stewart would stomp him! Those are very powerful friends. I love very much."

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is feuding with Leonardo DiCaprio. DiCaprio urged Brazilians to get out and vote in the upcoming election to make sure the Amazon rainforest is protected. President Bolsonaro said, "Now, DiCaprio has to know that it was the very president of the World Trade Organization who said that without Brazilian agribusiness, the world would be hungry. So, DiCaprio better keep his mouth shut instead of talking nonsense."

DiCaprio and fellow actor Mark Ruffalo are supporting Bolsonaro's opponent, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. He Tweeted at DiCaprio: "Thanks for your support, Leo! It's really important to have every Brazilian voting in the coming elections. Our people will decide if they want to keep our sovereignty on the Amazon or be ruled by crooks who serve special foreign interests. Good job in The Revenant."

The National Enquirer claims "Friends" star Matthew Perry is looking for love. A source tells the magazine, “He’s been hiding out at his house in L.A., working on his book and paying more attention to his health, which has his pals so relieved. Sure, he still gets takeout from McDonald’s, but he’s ordering the grilled chicken salad or the grilled chicken sandwich and iced tea — and skipping the Big Macs and the shakes.”

The Daily Mail says "Family Matters" actress Jo Marie Payton is accusing "Steve Urkel" of acting out on the set of the show. Dear Fonseca

The girls and I got into an argument at work yesterday over whether or not flowers are a good Mother's Day gift. Half of the women love the idea of getting flowers for Mother Day. The other half did not and said the gift is a cop out and has no thought behind it. They said any mother, who receives flowers should be upset with their kid for not putting any effort into finding an 'experience' gift or something they really want. Where do you stand on this? Are flowers a good Mother's Day gift or a cop out?
