Coffee Survey

A new survey by the European Food Safety Authority reveals that people, who drink three to five cups of coffee a day are more alert and have a better memory than those, who don't. Researchers studied 34 coffee drinkers and 24 non-coffee drinkers. They found the coffee drinkers performed better at mental tasks than the non-coffee drinkers

Professor Nuno Sousa says, “We were able to observe the effect of coffee on the structure and functional connectivity of our brain, as well as the differences between those who drink coffee regularly and those who do not drink coffee in real time. The findings help to understand improving the effects of caffeine, highlighting improved motor control, increased levels of attention and alertness, and benefits in learning and memory.''
