Chauvin Trial Ends With Guilty Verdict: Derek Chauvin's trial ended yesterday. Chauvin is the former Minneapolis police officer, who kneeled on George Floyd's neck for nine minutes before killing him. The jury found him guilty of killing Floyd. Chauvin faces up to 40 years in prison for second-degree murder, up to 25 years for third-degree murder and up to 10 years for second-degree manslaughter. The NY Post says the other three officers in the case, J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao, will go on trial beginning on August 23rd. They are facing 40 years in prison for aiding and abetting second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter
