Dear Fonseca,
Yesterday morning, I opened my front door and found a stray dog laying on my porch. He was matted up and hungry so my kids and I fed him before heading out. When we came home, the dog was still there. We fed him and took him in. My neighbor used to work for a veterinarian and is 90% sure the dog is microchipped. The kids want to keep the dog. So do I, but I also know he belongs to someone else. That person may be missing their dog terribly. My husband says we should keep the dog because his owner obviously didn't care enough to groom him or care for him. He says he deserves better. The whole family is torn about what to do. What would you do if you were us? Return the dog or keep it?
