Dear Fonseca
My friends don't understand why I don't want to marry my boyfriend of five years. The answer is simple. Things are fine just the way they are. Many of my friends have gotten married and are now unhappy because they no longer date. Dating puts pressure on my boyfriend and I to put effort into our relationship because we know we can leave at any time. When you're married, it's harder to leave because of children and how expensive a divorce is. My friends say we don't have a real commitment. I disagree. Do you agree with my philosophy? Is it better just to date than be married?
