Hooray for Hollywood: Here are this past weekend's box office results.
1. “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One,” $56.2 million for (Fri, Sat and Sun). (CINEMA SCOOP .. The film opened Wednesday and earned $80 million between then and yesterday. The film earned $155 million overseas for a total worldwide launch of $235 million. The movie cost $291 million to produce.)
2. “Sound of Freedom,” $27 million.
3. “Insidious: The Red Door,” $13 million.
4. “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” $12 million.
5. “Elemental,” $8.7 million.
KSAT says Ed Sheeran was performing in Detroit on Saturday when he brought Eminem on stage to sing ''Lose Yourself'' and ''Stan''. The crowd went wild. After the performance, Ed said, “I don’t know about you, but that was pretty awesome”
Taylor Swift look-a-like Rebecca Smile says Taylor stalked her in order to meet her in person. Rebecca tells Geo TV, “'Yes Taylor has met me and to cut a long story short she stalked me online and got her people to contact me. They said, "Taylor really wants to meet you would you like to meet her?" A source tells the newspaper, "She has not told her mom, Lynne, the full extent of what is written about their family and past dramas in her upcoming memoir. Lynne is unaware of the entirety of the subject matters covered by her daughter, despite the couple talking again. Britney has kept her cards close to her chest about what is in the memoir. She has been chomping at the bit to present her experiences of becoming famous and what role her parents played - and Lynne is being kept in the dark about what Britney will say about their relationship. Publishing executives at Simon and Schuster have asked Britney to keep her talk about her experiences in the book just to those closest in her life. The publishers asked her not to discuss in detail what she addresses with those outside of her close circle. Britney has not spoken to many people outside of her husband, Sam Asghari, agent, and ghostwriter Sam Lansky about the content of The Woman In Me. The New York Post says Prince William is planning to charge his father, King Charles, rent for staying at the family's vacation cottage. Prince William and an architect renovated the cottage. King Charles stays there for a week or two every year. William is planning to charge him rent. A source tells the paper, “The King was quite miffed but that was the deal. It means he can continue to stay there but he will pay rent to the Duchy and the rest of the time it will be rented out.”

A new study by the National Retail Federation reveals that parents will spend a combined $41.5 billion on back to school shopping this year. That's up from $36.9 billion last year. Other findings:
- back to college spending is expected to hit $94 billion or $20 billion more than last year.
- the average parent is going to spend $890 on back to school shopping. That's up from $864 last year.
- top electronics parents plan to purchase for back to school ... laptops (51%), tablets (36%) and calculators (29%).

A new survey by Layered Realty reveals that kids will reach peak Summer vacation boredom on Saturday, August 12th. Other findings:
- 34% of parents will have exhausted all things to do locally for their children by August 12th
- 31% of parents say children are already bored with their hobbies
- 65% of parents feel overwhelmed at the prospect of keeping their children entertained for another month

The mothers in my family got into a fight this past weekend. My mother-in-law accused me of being a helicopter parent. My 4-year-old son thinks he is a daredevil like Tom Cruise. My husband's mother says I should allow him to do break-neck stunts and injure himself because this is the only way he will learn he is not Tom Cruise. She says a few bumps and bruises and maybe a broken bone won't kill him. My mother says I should be a helicopter parent and save my son from himself. She says he doesn't need to be doing Mission Impossible stunt work. My mother-in-law says that's coddling and that's wrong. What do you think I should do? Coddle or Cruise?
