Dear Fonseca,

My family and I are taking a road trip this holiday weekend. Three kids and two dogs is quite a lot in the SUV. We're sedating the dogs because they don't do well on long trips. As I was buying their medication I also thought that I might be able to do the same with my three kids. I'm thinking about giving them Benadryl to mellow them out otherwise it's going to be non-stop yelling and fighting for several hours. I'll give them a small dose and see what happens. My husband thought I was kidding when I brought the idea up to him. What do you think about my plan? I'd be curious to know if any other parents have done the same thing? Is this wrong?
