Dear Fonseca

My kids are begging my husband and I for a puppy for Christmas. The children are 5, 7 and 9 and swear they are going to take care of the dog. My husband and I would love to get a pet, but are not sure if we can trust the kids to do what they say they are going to do. Should we believe them or not? Puppy for Christmas? Good or bad idea?
