Dear Fonseca
I am torn between a rock and a hard place. My family is having Thanksgiving at my father's house. My new boyfriend and I got into an argument this past weekend about why I haven't invited him to Thanksgiving dinner to meet my family. He says it's the perfect opportunity to introduce him to everyone at once. I told him that family dinners are no place to introduce a new partner. He disagrees and says I'm hiding him from the family. I think introductions should take place over time not all at once. I feel guilty because he is relatively new to the area and has nowhere else to go for Thanksgiving. What would you do if you were me? Is a holiday dinner the proper place to introduce a new partner? Invite him or not?
