Dear Fonseca
My husband and I are in couples therapy. We had a huge blow-up on Tuesday night with our counselor when talking about dreams. Our counselor says we need to be totally honest with one another. My husband asked me why I woke up smiling the other morning. I refused to tell him that I had a dream about me sleeping with his best friend. He complained to the counselor about my silence. This caused a huge fight. I told the counselor that spouses should be able to keep their dreams a secret from one another. My husband and the counselor disagree with me. Where do you stand on this? Are dreams off-limits or should a partner be entitled to know what their spouse is dreaming about?
