Limp Handshake = Health Alert A new study by the University of Michigan reveals that having a limp handshake may signal an increased risk of heart disease or cancer. Researchers studied dozens of elderly participants with low grip strength before concluding that weak handshakes can be linked to diseases. The study found that the amount of power that a person draws from their hands and forearms may be a strong indicator of overall health.

The researchers write, "There is a large body of evidence linking muscular weakness, as determined by low grip strength, to a host of negative aging-related health outcomes. Given these links, grip strength has been labelled a "biomarker of aging," and yet, the pathways connecting grip strength to negative health consequences are unclear."

Dear Fonseca

Our son went off to college last Fall. My husband has spent months turning his bedroom into his first Man Cave. He is excited to watch the Super Bowl in there. Our teenage daughters tried to get into the Cave last night, but couldn't because my husband placed a lock on the door. I was shocked. When he came home he refused to say why he had a lock. When we finally got into the room I noticed his computer was suddenly password-protected. My husband says he is entitled to place a lock on the door and a password on his computer because it is his space. My mind is wandering and thinks he may be hiding something. Why would he place a lock on the door and protect his computer if he wasn't? Should he have a lock on his Man Cave? Am I paranoid? What do you think is going on? Where is the trust?
