Dear Fonseca
My 16 year old daughter has finally made her New Year's resolution. She wants to get in shape like everyone else. She asked my husband and I to buy her a scale. My husband said yes without thinking about the ramifications. I think buying a scale for a 16 year old is a terrible idea. He thinks she will be able to track her progress. I think the scale will destroy her self-esteem and self-confidence. Where do you stand on this? Should we buy the scale or not?
