Mega Millions Winner Will Owe IRS $163 Million: Some people are waiting in line as long as 20 minutes to buy a ticket for tonight's $615 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot. CNBC says the chance of winning tonight's Mega Millions lottery jackpot is one in 302 million while the chance of winning tomorrow night's Powerball jackpot is one in 292 million.

Tonight's lump sum cash payout for the Mega Millions lottery jackpot is $451.8 million. A single winner would owe $108.2 million to the IRS because of the 24% federal tax withholding rate. Another 13% would also be taxed ($58 million) meaning the sole winner would give $166.2 million to the government. CBS says no one has won the Mega Millions lottery jackpot since September 15th



San Diego Zoo Gorillas Have Coronavirus: KGPE says two gorillas at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park have tested positive for the coronavirus. The zoo tested the gorillas after they began coughing last Wednesday. Both gorillas tested positive and were infected by an asymptomatic staff member.

The zoo says, “Aside from some congestion and coughing, the gorillas are doing well. The troop remains quarantined together and are eating and drinking. We are hopeful for a full recovery.”


Belichick Rejects Presidential Medal of Freedom: WCSH says Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will not accept the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Donald Trump.

Belichick released a statement saying, “Recently, I was offered the opportunity to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which I was flattered by out of respect for what the honor represents and admiration for prior recipients. Subsequently, the tragic events of last week occurred and the decision has been made not to move forward with the award. Above all, I am an American citizen with great reverence for our nation’s values, freedom and democracy.’’

Even though he was told he would be held in the minimum-security camp, he's been put in the medium security jail which houses dangerous felons and has been kept in solitary. It's doing huge damage to him mentally and physically. It's wrong to do this to a completely non-violent offender. The solitary is going to continue for at least another 30 days but could be more. I don't know how he's going to cope with it. His family are desperately worried about his mental health and it's becoming increasingly hard for them as well.''

Diets And Brains Study

A new study by Rush University Medical Center reveals that having a poor diet may make the brain age faster. Other findings:

- people on the "Mediterranean Diet" have brains that appear six years younger than those on a traditional Western diet

- diets that emphasize fruits, vegetables, fish, and whole grains have the most positive effect on overall brain health

- diets that emphasize red and processed meat, fried food, and low whole grains are associated with faster cognitive decline
